So we hear so many different rumours about new movies being made all the time and, in all honesty, more often than not these rumoured movies never get made or, if they do finally get made it takes years to finally come, especially if they are long-awaited sequels. Fans always seem to want to catch up with the characters from their favourite movies many years down the line, yet these sequels always seem to struggle at the box office.
Well, way back in 2004 we got the movie Mean Girls, which we have to admit is not exactly a masterpiece of film making, but has gone on to become a cult classic with millions of fans all over the world. It is no surprise then, that the fans of Mean Girls have been calling for the movie to get a proper sequel for many years now and, although we did get Mean Girls 2 in 2011, it was not with the same cast and the same characters.
Now, it seems that fans of Mean Girls have been given a little ray of hope, after it was claimed that Lindsay Lohan has a good idea for a Mean Girls sequel and would love to get Emma Stone on board for Mean Girls 2. According to the rumours, Lindsay tweeted about the possibility of making the movie, which supposedly read, "Emma Stone, can we film a movie called Mean Girls 2 together?" although that tweet has now been deleted.
With Emma Stone now one of the biggest actresses in Hollywood, we are not sure that she would want to go and make a Mean Girls movie with Lindsay Lohan, as it could be seen as a backwards step, but stranger things have happened. so you just never know.
