Over the course of the past few years, we have seen a number of different stars from the world of sport deciding to try their hand at acting, with plenty of MMA stars enjoying plenty of acting gigs in Hollywood. One of the biggest female MMA stars to ever grace the sport is the lovely Gina Carano and she has since moved on to the acting industry where she has been enjoying plenty of success.
While Gina Carano has yet to really land that huge standout movie role, she has been landing plenty of different roles along the way and she will next appear in the upcoming new movie Daughter of the Wolf. Gina and co. have clearly been enjoying themselves on the set of the movie and Carano has been sharing plenty of pictures from the set of the film on her official social media accounts.
Daughter of the Wolf is described as, "Ex-military specialist, Clair Hamilton, returns home from the Middle East to news of her father's passing only to find herself at odds with her defiant 13-year-old son. When word spreads about Clair’s inheritance, Charlie is kidnapped and held for ransom by a gang led by a mysterious figure known only as “Father”. Desperate to save her son, Clair captures one of the kidnappers and forces him to lead her on a journey deep into the Alaska Mountains. With a winter storm approaching, the odds of survival begin to mount against Clair. To rescue her son, she must form an unlikely alliance with the kidnapper and survive the wild of the far North."
As well as having Gina Carano starring in the lead role, Daughter of the Wolf will also feature other Hollywood stars including Anton Gillis-Adelman, Richard Dreyfuss, Sydelle Noel, and Brendan Fehr, among others. Daughter of the Wolf is being directed by David Hackl, based on the screenplay adapted by Nick Agiashvili, with the movie still awaiting an official release date.
