There are plenty of talented and successful Australian stars in Hollywood these days but, while a number of these choose to live in the US, it seems that there is one star who has decided against it. Hollywood superstar Chris Hemsworth tried living his life in Hollywood, along with his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children, but he has admitted that it became a bit of a struggle, which led them to move back to Australia.
Hemsworth was talking to Modern Luxury magazine, when he explained to them, "I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating. We were living shoulder to shoulder in the suburbs and thought that's not how we want our kids to grow up."
He added, "There's not a whole lot of foot traffic. It was all about loading up the car and car seats. Here, we just walk out the door and head to the beach down the street. It's a much more simple life. It's no longer all about me, which is quite refreshing. Once the kids arrived, I was like, 'Wow, this is what life is about.'"
As far as his acting career is concerned, Chris Hemsworth has a role in the new, all-female lead Ghostbusters movie, which has many people excited. Chris appears alongside Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Kristen Wiig, among others, with Paul Feig on directing duties for the film. Ghostbusters is set to hit the big screen on July 15 in both the US and the UK.
